Every parent wants their child to grow up with a strong sense of identity and purpose. For many families in our community, that starts with a genuine connection to the Qur’an, built early and nurtured consistently through the years that matter most.
Our Maktab and Youth Club exist for exactly this reason. They give children and young people a place to learn, ask questions, and grow surrounded by peers and mentors who share the same values, rather than navigating those questions alone.
Children don’t just need to be taught the Qur’an, they need to see it lived out around them by people they trust.
What Makes Youth Programmes Work
A programme only works if young people actually want to be there. That means balancing structure with genuine warmth, and knowledge with activities that keep them engaged rather than switched off.
Consistent weekly sessions help build habits that last well beyond childhood. Mentors who genuinely know the young people by name make a real difference. A mix of learning and social activity keeps engagement high over time. Involving parents in the process reinforces what’s being taught at the centre. Trips and events give young people something to look forward to, not just attend.
IQ Centre’s youth programmes are built around this understanding. Whether it’s a weekly Maktab class or a weekend trip to Scotland, the goal is always the same, helping young people carry their faith with confidence into adulthood.
